Your prepayment or PAYG hub can be managed through the account page of the resident who is moved into the property. Here you can change the billing mode, process vends and view the live balance on the device. This article takes a look at updating the billing mode.
You can change the billing mode from credit to PAYG or vice versa at any time. A hub which has been added to Mabdeck will automatically default to credit mode, therefore the billing mode will need to be amended before you can use the other PAYG features.
Credit to Prepayment
Click the Accounts tab on the left of the screen, and search for the account where you would like to change billing mode. Click on their name to view their account page.
You can manage the PAYG unit by clicking the Hubs button on the right of the account page.
Click the Change Billing Mode button and select your property.
Click Change Billing Mode again to set up your payment card number. If you have set up your payment card numbers to generate automatically, this field will already be populated for you.
Choose whether to use the network wide Recovery Rate for the hub, or to add a custom recovery rate for this hub, then click Change Billing Mode to update the billing mode on the hub. You'll get a notification to say that your change of mode request has been successful. The prepayment status on the account will also update to "prepayment".
PAYG to Credit
If you would like to change the tenancy in a property where the meter is in PAYG mode, the mode will need to be changed back to credit first so that you can generate a final bill.
Navigate to the hubs section of the account page where you would like to change billing mode, and click the Change Billing Mode Button.
Click confirm to change the hub back into Credit Mode. The balance on the hub at the time that it's changed back into Credit Mode will be added to the account balance in Mabdeck, so you can continue to track any credits or debits on the account.
Some hub management features, such as Hub Vending and Debt Adjustment will not be available while the hub is in Credit Mode, so you'll need to ensure that you're updating the billing mode where required to access all available features.
