In the instance that a tenant or owner are set up with an incorrect move in date, you can delete tenancy history on a property to complete a move in as of the correct date.
Click the properties tab on the left of your screen, and search for the property where you would like to delete tenancy history.
Deleting tenancy history for a tenant
On the property page, click the small arrow icon to view tenancy history for the property.
Click the delete icon next to the current tenant, to undo the move in for that tenant. This will remove the end date for the previous tenant, moving them back into the property (as if the current tenant was never moved in).
IMPORTANT: If you cannot see the delete button, this will mean that you first need to complete additional actions on Mabdeck before the tenancy can be deleted.
- Ensure that you have reversed all statements for the account
- If this is for a PAYG property, ensure that the account is currently in credit mode.
If you need to delete the history for more than one tenant on a property, they will need to be removed in order starting with the most recent. Deleting the tenancy history for the first ever tenant will also delete the owner, and the property will need to be set up with an initial owner and tenant again.
Deleting owner history for an owner
You can delete owner history for an owner in exactly the same way as for a tenant. In this case, you just need to click the owner history button instead. This is the small arrow icon next to the owner name.
Once your tenancy records have been deleted, you can now complete the move in as normal via the account page for the new tenant. You can find more information on how to do this here!
