A data logger is used to capture and receive metering data from a metering device on site, such as a Heat and Electricity Meter. The data logger will send through readings into your Mabdeck solution which connects to the property's accounts to monitor or raise bills against accordingly. It can be often the case that a data logger can become faulty. This would usually be flagged under the validation page of Mabdeck. To keep records of a faulty data logger you can mark the data logger as faulty in the System Configuration section of Mabdeck.
Marking a Data Logger as Faulty
Navigate to the System Configuration page and locate Data Loggers
Search and locate the faulty data logger in question via the Data Loggers section
Click Show on the details area to open up the data logger information to the network
Locate and navigate the faulty data logger in question and click the 'Mark as Faulty' button
This will then allow you to add a reason for marking the data logger as faulty on Mabdeck. Typical comments such as no communication, very poor signal or short circuit to the MBus network could be entered but bare in mind this is specifically the fault to the individual data logger
Once you have entered your reason please click the save button
This will store your reason in Mabdecks database for future viewing and approval in the future.
