A data logger is used to capture and receive metering data from a metering device on site, such as a Heat and Electricity Meter. The data logger will send through readings into your Mabdeck solution which connects to the property's accounts to monitor or raise bills against accordingly. The data logger section on Mabdeck in the System Configuration section allows you to keep record of Data Logger asset details such as start date, make, model and serial numbers.
Each data logger will have meter(s) connected to them. The data logger section on Mabdeck is also designed where if all meters on a given network go offline it will flag the corresponding data logger for faults in the Validation section of Mabdeck.
Adding a Data Logger
A hub can be added from the Data Loggers section of the System Configuration page.
Click Data Loggers to open up the Data Logger page.
Select Add Data Logger and this will open up the 'Add Data Logger' menu. This will allow you to select the specific client and network a data logger corresponds to.
You will be required to manually select Client Name, Network Name, Manufacturer, Model, Serial Number as well as the Communication type of the data logger. Please note that each drop down relates to the specific Manufacturer and Model of the Data Logger.
You must also add a specific Reading and Reporting Frequency of the Data Logger so that the meter readings received from this data logger can be validated. If no meter readings are received within the selected Reading and Reporting Frequency then Mabdeck will flag this as a Non-Reading Data Logger in the Validation section.
If you do not know the manufacturer or this is not listed on the drop down create the data logger as a 'Virtual Data Logger'. You can still add a unique serial number that responds to this Virtual Data Logger in the given boxes.
Once you have added the correct details for the Data Logger click Add Data Logger and this will save under the Data Logger section in the System Configuration section.
Click "Show' on the added data loggers to the Network and Client in the Data Logger section and this will open up the data logger and it's relevant information.
